    How did we miss this gem?  Fries were DELICIOUS! Special ordered a Coney Dog and it was great!  Kids each found something they like (even a GF bun!). Definite win!

    Delicious food!!

    But the wait time was ridiculous. There was one couple in there when I got there. They got their food a few minutes after I placed my order.

    It took 30 minutes to get my 4 dogs and 2 fries!

    I'll be brutally honest. We were on this block to go to the Korean restaurant, Happy BiBimBap House, just around the corner. We had about 40 minutes, and that place was packed. It's well deserved - see my previous review ;)  Sooooo, we pulled yelp out and saw this place was around the corner, and wandered over there for lunch.

    This place is super cute and unique. I wish I had ordered the salad since the salad bar was chock full of amazing stuff, and I could only fit so much into my sausage. My wife went with the classic dog and I went with the bacon cheese stuffed one. Holy moly, best sausages that I've had in who knows how long. I got to put some pickled onions and bbq sauce and fresh cut relish on -- so amazing. We tried both the spiral cut fries and the regular fries with queso. Both were really great, but the spiral fries were definitely more unique and reminiscent of the best of state fair type food.

    On the tables, they had baby boomer trivial pursuit cards. We didn't know any answers, but it was fun to play. There were some other card games as well. The food was fresh and cooked to order, and the staff were very courteous and attentive. Kind of the opposite of your classic impression of a big city Chicago/New York attitude.

    We hadn't had sausages in a long time, and this place definitely hit the spot. If you're in the mood for a dog, you should definitely check this great little place out.

    I just went there for the first time. A quaint cafeteria style with a 60's atmosphere ((including the music).  Very clean. I had the polish sausage and added some of the free toppings at the extensive self serve counter. All materials were of higher than average quality. Only the prices were average. I just didn't care for their tornado fries (actually a single slice cut in one long spiral). Although fun and unique, it was dry and tasted a bit over cooked. I see that others have loved them so either I got a bad one or it's just a matter of taste.

    Roxy Dawgs offers great food at great prices. Coupled with the Groupon deal they have posted ($7 for $13 worth of food), you get an awesome run for your money.

    Nice staff & chill atmosphere. Great place to catch a bite with friends.

    Dawgs are cooked to order, so you're served food that's piping hot off the grill.

    Amazing selection of toppings for your dawgs & burgers. Once you're done looking at all the condiment options at the bar, look up to check out the zany sauce options they have lined up on the wall shelving too.

    BCS || $5.95
    1/4 lb smoked sausage stuffed with bacon & cheese. Smokey, hearty, cheesy. Pairs well with relish and pickled toppings.

    Firehouse DAWG || $5.95
    1/4 lb spicy Louisiana hot dog. Not actually that spicy-- if you want the heat, be sure to add on hot sauces available at the bar.

    ROXY Burger || $5.95
    Simple & tasty burger patty in a hot dog bun. Delicious with the pineapple salsa & honey mustard.

    Polka DAWG || $5.95
    1/4 lb smoked polish sausage. Chewy with a satisfactory snap back.

    Roxy's Tornado Fry || $2
    Spiralized fried potato on a stick. I was super excited to try out the popular carnival food here. The tornado fry is served sprinkled with salt, pepper, and Parmesan. Crispy, savory, yummy. Must try :)
